Auf dem MWC 2013 in Barcelona wurden zwei neue Windows Phone 8 Telefone vorgestellt, das höherwertige Smartphone wurde Lumia 720 getauft, bietet ein 4,3 Zoll Display und kann auch drahtlos per Induktion aufgeladen werden kann.
Enttäuschend sind allerdings die nur 512MB Arbeitsspeicher – zum Vergleich, das Nexus 4 hat 2GB RAM – dafür ist das Lumia 720 mit nur 128 Gramm ähnlich leicht und die Batterie soll je nach Netz im 2G Modus 23 Stunden und im 3G/UMTS Modus immerhin noch 13 Stunden durchhalten, so zumindest die Presseinformationen.
