The German caravaning company Dethleffs, part of the Hymer group, announced on Friday at the Caravan Salon tradeshow in Düsseldorf, a fully electric caravan concept with a possible release in 3-5 years.
Based on the Iveco Daily Electric Chassis it integrates latest home-automatisation trends as well as energy efficiency technology in all parts and even photovoltaics on the chassis itself with a least theoretical maximum of 3kW.
The car itself is based on a 80kW battery in a so-called Zebra-setup.
While the e-Caravan is an actual test build, the company also showed some nice Connected Mobile Home Renderings which showed a possible future development of internal configurations for such mobile homes. Fascinating.
