Yesterday the startup Sono Motors officially announced and showed their e-car development, the so called Sion.
This car can reach up to 250km distance with one full battery charge and has solar panels integrated to load the battery for up to 30km per day.
Beside the integrated solar panels the car has a trailer hitch and a power plug, so you can actually use the battery charge for for external appliances or even to load another car.
The announced price is 16000 Euro for the car, plus 4000 Euro for the battery pack of 30kWh, with the possibility that this last price point drops, depending on the development of the battery market price.
Mass production is planned for end of 2018 or beginning of 2019, depending on when 5000 preorders are collected.
